           Tears of an Angel

Jana London has just broken up with the love of her life.  Her best friend moved to another state.  She hates her new job, and her mother is making her move into an apartment she can’t afford.  What she needs more than anything is a friend – and that’s what the angel Jack is sent to be.  Her friend.

Jana, however, doesn’t think the angel has any idea how she really feels, because since he’s a spirit, he’s never known heartache himself.  So Jack prays to be able to understand her.  When his prayer is answered, the consequences that follow are not at all what he expected, and the end result will be tragic if God doesn’t intervene.

SNEAK PREVIEW

Jack watched as Jana walked slowly toward the door, then disappeared inside.  Something was troubling him and he didn’t know what to do about it.  Ever since their last conversation, he hadn’t been able to forget what she’d said to him.  “You have no idea what it’s like here on earth, do you?  You get one blow after another when you live here.  You’ve never experienced it yourself, having to actually live through troubles every single day.  How can you help me with my problems when you don’t know what problems are?”

He’d told her God let him know what was necessary.  Her response to that would be forever embedded in his mind.  “He lets you know, but you can’t actually feel them.”

He raised his eyes toward heaven.  “She is right, Father,”  he whispered.  “You have let me feel compassion to the point of weeping, but I have never known the depth of the many other feelings that run through the human heart.  Could you help me to better understand them?”
