When Starly meets an angel named Jack, she thinks he’s come with news of her parents.  But Jack has something else in mind, something she doesn’t want to talk about: God’s love.  She feels that, if God cared for her, He wouldn’t have separated her family, that her future happiness rests solely in the hands of her leader, the only one who can bring them together again.  But her pleas to him fall onto deaf ears.

It takes a tragedy to finally open the eyes of Mr. Divario.  But is it too late?  Will Starly and her brother ever be reunited with their parents?  Will Starly have a chance to learn the real, very important reason for the angel’s visit?
